MEASURE BODY FAT VS. LEAN MASS

About the DEXA Scan TEST (DXA)
A DEXA scan is the first step to your better overall fitness, health, and wellness. A DEXA (dual-energy absorptiometry) scan is similar to taking a snapshot of your total physical health.
Medically-proven to be the industry’s most accurate body fat test available, DXA scans are used at hospitals, universities, and professional athletic facilities all over the world. Pinch tests and water displacement tests cannot provide the same level of body fat testing accuracy.
Why You Should get a body composition test
Discover your percentage of body fat, and how much body fat mass versus lean mass you have in your total body. You’ll also be able to see your left versus right symmetry, so you can learn how injuries or overcompensation might affect your performance.
A DEXA body scan also showcases a bone density analysis, so if you’re at risk of osteoporosis, you’ll know right away. You’ll gain access to a better picture (and real, measurable data) of what your body really looks like.
Knowing your composition enables awareness and provides valuable insight about your body.

Dexa Body Scan Insight
Compare your metrics to others in your age group, gender, and ethnicity
See how your fitness and diet regimen affect different
areas of your body
Uncover health risks that might surprise you (e.g. osteoporosis, high % of visceral fat)
The Dexa Scan Advantage
DEXA (DXA) provides significant advantages over traditional body composition analysis methods.

01
Bone Density
You will receive a total body bone density analysis to assess risk for Osteopenia and Osteoporosis.
02
Highest Accuracy
Only 1-2% error rate, whereas most methods have between 5-15% margins of error.
03
Muscle Imbalances
We will compare left/right side lean muscle in the arms, legs, and trunk region to determine any muscular imbalances due to overuse or injury.
04
Regional Analysis
5 key regions: A breakdown of body fat mass and lean mass of the body: arms, legs, trunk, android (belly), and gynoid (hips) regions so that you can see exactly where your changes are happening.
05
Three Component Model
DEXA (DXA) distinguishes between body fat mass, lean mass, AND bone mineral content within the body.
