Hello! We are Kris & Kris! At Pilates with Kris, we believe that fitness doesn’t have to be a chore or something you dread checking off your to-do list. Our workouts use slow, controlled and low impact movements to allow you to really connect your mind and breath- which will in turn bring results you have only dreamed of! Personally, each of us have seen tremendous benefits to incorporating our Pilates practice into our lives- from drastically reduced chronic pain, increases in our daily energy levels, muscle tone, and strength, and improved overall mental clarity. We look forward to sharing our passion for Pilates with you! Virtual classes and private sessions available. (and just in case you're wondering, Kristin, is on the left, Kristen is on the right)

Hello! My name is Kris(tin) on the left- I am a certified Pilates and yoga instructor. This year will be my fifth year of teaching Pilates, and what an amazing five years it has been. I came to Pilates about ten years ago after becoming seriously ill. Before then, I had rarely workout out, ate terribly, was extremely overworked, and was very stressed with school. Pilates was something I always wanted to try but always allowed excuses to get in the way. Well, after finally getting around to it, I was hooked right away. I finally found my “thing”. Soon after I noticed profound improvements in my physical appearance, as well as in my mood and ability to cope with stress. I found a form of exercise that not only gave me a kick-ass whole body workout but also left me feeling so Zen as if I had just done yoga. I had found my happy place.
Hi! My name is Kris(ten) on the right- I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and have been living in the DC area since 2012. Shortly after moving, I was involved in a traumatic freak accident that left me with a broken back (fractured L3) and screws in my right foot. Needless to say, the months following were quite challenging--both mentally and physically. Prior to my accident, I was never one who felt connected to a certain way of keeping fit- in fact, I hated playing almost all sports and would drag myself to the gym to get in 30 minutes of “cardio” that I thought I needed in order to feel and look my best. The reality was, I felt worse. As part of my recovery plan, I was introduced to Pilates, and I will honestly never forget my first session--I was hooked. Not only has Pilates greatly improved my back pain (bye-bye painkillers!), I’ve never felt or looked stronger and through this practice, I have been provided essential tools to manage my anxiety. After practicing Pilates for seven years, I became a certified instructor to be able to share my passion with others, and hopefully help to improve their lives as well.
